While going through my files, I had this article which reads
‘LITTLE FERRY BOY DIES FROM WOUNDS’. As I read the short article, the first paragraph is about Walter Caldrony of North Hackensack being severely wounded.  The paper spelled his name incorrectly without the ‘..ey’ at the end which is very common.  

The wounds proved to be fatal and Walter Caldroney died, according to his gravestone, on October 18, 1918.  The article which was written on December 9, 1918 has Walter being wound on October 8, 1918. 

Whether Walter died from the wounds he received on
October 8, 1918, or he was wounded and died on
October 18, 1918 we will never know, but what we do know is that Walter Caldroney, during the battle in St. Miheil, France was
Killed in Action and let us never forget his sacrifice.
